Ha ha, you should tell us earlier and can save time & money.......
As far as I know, if you have a insurance policy (either 3rd party or full) in company A, you want to switch to company B or whatever reasons. Just submit your application to company B and tell them you have a "still valid" policy in company A w/ 60% NCB. Company B will represent you to re-claim the NCB from company A AUTOMATICALLY.
You dont need to do so many stuff.....
And now, you should buy all of us "sugar water" next time for telling you these....
It doesn't work ga...i know what you mean (just like telecom of mobile phone) i did ask the Insurance B but they said they have to wait for the insurance A releasing the old NCB...

That why I said why you didnt ask for the duplicate copy instead of call for cancellation directly......
May be like another ching said, you are too kind......
it might be different...Agents won't take this responsiblity....since the original copy is required from the insurance co to do cancellation of policy...

Yes, maybe the rule change as well.
However, as far as I know, write a letter can also do the cancellation....
No offense, to formally cancel a policy, a written letter plus the original copy are both required. A verbal cancellation is not valid...

I think it depends which insurance company you are using. I know some are very strict..
