算吧啦! Both agent and insurance company said they need ORIGINAL and told me to go to the Gov't dept taking that document.  邊度夠佢地argue?  maybe it's their company policy but i learn a lesson law  ...

However, as far as I know, write a letter can also do the cancellation....

No offense, to formally cancel a policy, a written letter plus the original copy are both required. A verbal cancellation is not valid...
