Hi CHING,
Another question.  Curtain or glass paper?
Curtain - cons:Bulky and take up some space inside the car.  pro: flexible in use.  less cost.  good privacy
Glass paper - legal one: effectiveness in question.  not legal one: what % is good balance?  I mean not too dark.
Which option is more effective in bring down car temperture in summer time?

my opinion will be tint film.

It may cost you more, but it will not broken as easily as the curtain. The curtain on the rail may cause some noise when you are driving. The most important is curtain will keep dust on it.

For your question, I have thought before, finally I installed the curtain because,
(1) Curtain privacy is much better, and pull down as u like and it got tie to bind it easily without noise;
(2) For film paper, it is good for shadow effect, prettier but it never can fully blocked the sunshine.
(3) Curtain have special function for lovers....
(4) Film paper, even you install in legal level, but u still need to fill the form at Transport dept for whole procedure.

As I got two sons, so young, so I chosen the curtain for their better sleeping at car. I hope can help you for reference.

Also if you have young kids, dust staying on the curtain may be harmful to them.

for dust, everywhere got dust, depend you wash it or not, I will take the curtain off for cleansing. But u cannot take off the film to wash... and always rub it will dettach...

Dicken: in fact, there are different purpose /function of curtain and film paper. The main purpose of film paper is block the heat /UV, to block certain % of heat inside the car, moreover, colour film paper is as decorative purpose for some user as well.
In contrast, the curtain is mainly made by fabric material which is not designed for heat /UV blocked function. The main purpose of curtain is designed for block the sunshine /block outsider to look inside the car, of course, less sunshine means less heat inside the car, thus it also have block heat funtion.

Dicken: our comment want to point out curatin is more easy to stick dust but the film paper would not. You are true when everywhere got dust and it depends of user cleansing habit. If everyone clean his car very often, it is not a big issue to use curtain or film paper, but we need to clarify /identify its potential problems that we forseen.

agree, curtain helps to block sunshine and it helps kids can not see outside and make them no mood anymore, only choose sleep in the car..

無錯周圍都會有塵，但係窗簾就特別容易積聚，加上小朋友可能郁下佢，啲塵就會周圍飛，當然解決方法可以洗得密啲，問題係有幾密嗟。老實講，未聽過抹窗抹甩茶紙，至少我用咗兩年幾抹過N次窗都無甩嘅跡象，除非手工差或特登搣佢，唔係真係幾難甩。

其實我想講呢樣野係好視乎個人喜好同需要，無一定答案，當然窗簾都有唔少好處係茶紙無嘅，但係如果好似一樓個位師兄想"bring down car temperture in summer time"，比較過就覺得茶紙效果明顯啲，尤其夏天烈日當空下泊完車最覺
