on RG1, there are 2 econ buttons.

one is to control the a/c, another is to control the throttle.

a/c econ mode - air will be in circulation, gentaly cool down the interior.

throttle econ mode - throttle respond will be slower

I remember that RG1 has 2 different Econ button while RG3 has only 1, let double check sin.....sorry for the info, if I am wrong.

you can tape it, but in japan there is a wire set can turn it on automatically at everytime starting up the car.
